1. What types of material can I run on a Deacro slitter?
Standard Deacro slitters are versatile machines capable of running a wide range of materials. Deacro slitters commonly slit Papers, films, foils, laminates, non-wovens, pressure sensitive and linerless tapes - and sometimes all on the same machine! Deacro slitters are capable of slitting and rewinding many of the most difficult web constructions in the industry. Note: Some materials may require some customizing of the slitter which can limit the versatility of the machine. Contact your sales representative regarding the materials that you need to run.
2. Will Deacro customize orders for our needs?
Deacro’s standard slitter rewinder system has undergone literally thousands of hours of testing and development. We strongly recommend taking advantage of this experience by using as close to our standard system as possible. However, most slitter rewinders that Deacro ships have been ‘customized’ with options for each customer and their application. Deacro slitters have hundreds of options available to customize as required for your applications. Deacro's industry leading engineering/design team is also available to customize your slitter as needed for your specific materials/requirements.
3. Whom can I speak with who owns Deacro equipment?
Contact your Deacro sales representative for a list of converters close to you who use Deacro equipment. Deacro customers span across many varied industries slitting a wide range of materials. Deacro has installations on every continent of the globe, however, our primary customer base is in North America and South America. 4. Where is Deacro equipment designed and manufactured?
All of Deacro's equipment is designed and manufactured in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. All design, engineering, manufacturing and assembly is done 'in-house' which provides a tightly integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. Deacro's computer integrated 'CIM' facility sets the industry standard for precision parts, production and quality.
Deacro's complete control throughout the manufacturing process offers the converting industry design solutions in an unprecedented "Time to Market". Deacro's 50,000 square foot facility was designed to meet the tremendous demand for our converting equipment while providing the improved service that today's converters require.
5. Where can I see a Deacro slitter in operation?
Deacro has always offered an 'open door' policy to potential customers who would like to see our equipment in operation. For scheduling purposes, Deacro asks that you contact the sales department--ideally a month before you wish to visit our plant. If you wish for Deacro to run your own material, we ask that you ship the material before hand so that we can configure the machine properly for the application.
