Differential Rewind Tooling
“Tooling is easily interchangeable for 3″ and 6″ diameter cores, so time-consuming mandrel changeover” is not required.Deacro’s differential air shafts provide the most sensitive tension control in the converting industry. This technology provides extremely sensitive tension control for light gauge and extensible films. The spacer-less setup eliminates the requirement to handle tooling or the need to position core stops. To load the cores, operators simply slide cores across the shaft.
Differential rewinding is obtained by strictly controlling the air pressure distributed internally across the roll locks. Tension is programmed into the touch screen and is proportional to the length of the rewinding cores. Because of this, converters have the flexibility to rewind rolls of different widths across the same shaft. The locking design eliminates core dust – ideal for clean room applications. This system provides the highest rewind roll quality and versatility.

Laser Core Positioning
The laser core positioning system is commonly used in combination with Deacro’s roll lock differential air shafts. Operators simply line up the core with the laser to locate the core. With the servo positioning version, the operator simply waves a hand near a sensor to initiate the laser to move to the next required core position. A manual laser core positioner is also available. This affordable system allows the operator to avoid marking the shaft. Simply move the lasers to mark the core locations. The lasers are mounted on a rail and can be easily moved and locked in place without tools.
Cantilevered Lift-Out
Deacro offers an optional combination cantilevered/lift-out mandrel system that allows the flexibility of operating the slitter rewinder as either a cantilevered system (for quick set changes) or a lift-out mandrel system (for handling heavy rolls and/or full web rewinds). Changing from cantilevered to the lift-out setup requires the changing of the flanged rewind sub spindle mount to the lift-out cradle block system.
