Pneumatic Lay-on Overview
Deacro’s standard lay-on system is pneumatically controlled. Using bi-directional air pressure control, the pneumatic lay-on system is able to adjust the air entrainment in the rewinding rolls. A single common lay-on can be used to eliminate setup, or individual rollers can be used to improve quality and deliver high slitter running speeds.
The pneumatic lay-on pressure is fully programmable and is saved as part of the file recipe database. For tension sensitive materials, a rate of change setting can be programmed to taper the nip force as a function of running speed or roll diameter. The standard lay-nip roll covering is made of durable urethane.
