Servo Lay-on Overview
For all center winders, precise control of the rewind nip pressure is extremely important in controlling the finished roll quality and maximizing running speed. Deacro’s unique optional servo actuated lay-on system provides the most sensitive and versatile lay-on control in the industry. As the roll diameters increase, the lay-on dovetail assembly is driven up. This technology provides a wide range of running configurations. Servo lay-on technology is ideal for converters running a wide range of materials, requiring versatility and the highest finished roll quality.
Narrow Web Configuration
The narrow web mode eliminates the requirement for common lay-on rollers used for narrow cuts. This system uses lay-on roller segments to provide constant nip pressure to each rewind roll - regardless of differences in finished roll diameter. This system permits individual rollers for cuts as narrow as 1" wide. These lay-ons are available in a rapid change pre-set mandrel or with individually loaded pneumatic rollers.
Minimum Gap Configuration
For minimum gap applications, the servo actuator drives up the lay-on dovetail assembly maintaining a constant fixed gap between the lay-on roller and the rewinding rolls. Minimum gap winding is commonly used for many self-wound tapes and 'cold seal' films.
