Closed-loop Rewind Tension
Producing the correct tension in each rewind roll is critical for a quality slitter rewinder. The closed-loop rewind tension control option gives the optimum level of control over the rewinding process. This option can help with very difficult to rewind, tension-sensitive materials such as light gauge, extensible films.
Load cells can be used to take tension readings for closed loop rewind tension control. The slitter control system can calculate the average tension across the last rollers and automatically adjust the rewind tension accordingly, to maintain the desired tension (based on the base tension setting, taper tension setting and current roll diameter).
Tension Mapping
Deacro's control system allows monitoring of the rewinding process throughout the build up of the roll(s). A load cell roller can be used to take tension readings throughout the buildup of a roll. The data can then be compiled and output in a graph or chart format. This system provides the best feedback and confirmation for tension sensitive applications.
