Tension Control Overview
Deacro's slitter rewinders feature extremely sensitive tension control. Desired rewind and unwind web tensions along with web width are entered in the touch screen (or recalled from the database recipe of files). Rewind tensions are programmable from constant tension to 100% taper. Ultrasonic sensors monitor the roll diameter of both the unwind and rewind. A diameter calculator may also be used if desired. A pneumatically loaded nip roller isolates web tension from the unwind to the rewind using programmable air pressure.
