Model R1300A Salvage Rewinder

The R1300A offers converters an affordable, high performance single direction or reversible salvage rewinder. Designed to handle large master rolls, the fully shaftless system requires no manual shaft handling. The R1300A will pick up rolls from the floor or pallet and unload the finished roll. Additional features such as the position regulated dancer, provides sensitive tension control for extensible films, laminations and heavier web constructions. Web guiding is provided by a servo-actuated high-speed side-lay system. Infrared or ultrasonic edge sensors are provided depending on material type.

The reversible option of the R1300A is particularly well suited for printed web converters in that the print direction can be maintained without removing the roll. Conventional single direction rewinders often require running the roll through twice in order to orientate the print direction. The R1300A reversible feature uses a driven unwind that can reduce rewinding time by 50-90%.
